Your Golden Retriever puppy is sold to you as a healthy, happy puppy of sound Golden Retriever temperament, and is the result of selective mating of registered Golden Retriever parents with certified hip, eye, heart clearances and is an excellent representative of the Golden Retriever breed.

All HARMONY GOLDENS Golden Retriever puppies are sold on a complete health and satisfaction guarantee. Your new golden retriever puppy has had a complete and thorough examination by our Veterinarian at the age of seven weeks and is guaranteed to be in a good, clean state of health on departure from our kennel. You are advised to have your Veterinarian examine your new golden retriever puppy within 72 hours of departure from our kennel. If for any reason the purchaser is not satisfied with their new golden retriever puppy within the 72 hour period, s/he may return it to our kennel at his/her expense, provided the puppy is in the same condition as when sold. the purchaser will receive a replacement puppy from the next litter whelped or a full refund as decided upon by the breeder. All veterinary costs for the said Golden Retriever puppy, after departure from our kennel, no matter what the reason, and including the 72 hour period, are the responsibility of the buyer.

HARMONY GOLDENS PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING GUARANTEE on each golden retriever puppy sold:

1. Free of hip dysplasia as certified by O.F.A.
2. Free from P.R.A. and Cataracts as certified by a canine ophthalmologist
3. Free of Sub-Aortic Stenosis (S.A.S.) as certified by a Board Certified Canine Cardiologist

HARMONY GOLDENS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE FOLLOWING on any golden retriever puppy sold:

1. Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD)
2. Entropian, Ectropian, or other eye conditions not listed above
3. Behavioral problems or personality traits not associated with temperament
4. Conditions not set out herein

If your golden retriever shows any clinical sign of the guaranteed conditions and if contract conditions have been adhered to and suitable evidence is produced, the golden retriever may be returned to the breeder in good clean condition at the buyer's expense with the Registration papers signed over to the breeder. A golden retriever puppy of the same sex and quality, selected by the breeder, will be guaranteed to the buyer from another litter, though not necessarily from the same bitch nor from the next golden retriever litter due to arrive. The breeder reserves the right to refund the purchaser his original price of the golden retriever puppy should the breeder decide not to place another puppy with the purchaser. Alternatively, where the purchaser chooses to keep the said Golden Retriever, the breeder shall, at the option of the breeder, reimburse the purchaser an amount determined in line with the condition and it's effects on the golden retrievers life as a pet within the family. In any case, this amount shall not exceed one half the purchase price of the golden retriever puppy. The breeder may request that the purchaser obtain further opinions in the case of x-rays, eye and/or heart examinations. Obtaining additional opinions will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The breeder may request to have any reports or x-rays mailed or shipped to the breeder's veterinarian. Under no circumstances will HARMONY GOLDENS be responsible for the cost of any veterinarian bills for any reason whatsoever, nor will HARMONY GOLDENS be responsible for the cost of surgery for any reason whatsoever.

1. The buyer will take good care of the dog, providing quality nutrition, shelter and medical care, including annual vaccinations so as to ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of the dog.
2.The buyer agrees to feed Eukanuba Puppy Food and at the appropriate age (as advised by your vet) to switch the puppy to Eukanuba Adult Food or to a food recommended by your veterinarian. The buyer agrees to keep the dog at a suitable weight.
3.The buyer agrees to provide daily exercise and to neither overwork nor underwork the dog, and will not allow the dog to run at large unsupervised. The buyer further agrees to not tie the dog to any fixed object.
4.The buyer undertakes to ensure the puppy receives obedience training, preferably through a recognized training school.
5.The buyer agrees the dog shall never be used for experimental or research purposes.
6.The buyer agrees that dog shall be kept well groomed.
7.The buyer agrees to contact the breeder should the buyer need to part with this dog for whatever reason. The breeder reserves the right to first refusal.
8.The buyer agrees to contact the breeder at all times when the dog has been seen by a Veterinarian for any condition other than routine reasons.
9. The buyer agrees that the said puppy shall be spayed/neutered prior to the age of nine (9) months.

GOLDEN RETRIEVERS WHICH HAVE BEEN REARED CONTRARY TO ANY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED CONDITIONS WILL BE MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO HEALTH PROBLEMS, UNSOUNDNESS, LACK OF CLEARANCES, OR PERHAPS BE OF POORER QUALITY THAN IT HAD THE POTENTIAL AS A PUPPY TO BE, AND AS SUCH, CONTRAVENTION OF THE ABOVE EIGHT CONDITIONS WILL RENDER THE GUARANTEE NULL AND VOID.
 

Golden Retriever puppies purchased from HARMONY GOLDENS on an Agreement of Sale of Pet Puppies shall be spayed or neutered prior to the age of 9 months.  Failure to spay/neuter will render all guarantees and obligations of HARMONY GOLDENS void.  Golden Retriever puppies leaving the kennel do so on a Non-Breeding Agreement.  Under some conditions a puppy may not be registered with a O.K. Non-Breeding Agreement. In this case, this Agreement of Sale forms a Non-Breeding agreement and the purchaser is bound by the Non-Breeding clauses of this contract, wherein the buyer agrees not to use this golden retriever for breeding pending meeting the conditions as set out herein. Both the O.K.. Non-Breeding Agreement and the Non-Breeding Agreement inherent in this Agreement of Sale will not be removed unless the following conditions are met:

1. Free of hip dysphasia as certified by O.K.. or O.F.A.
2. Free of hereditary eye disease as certified by a canine ophthalmologist
3. Free of Sub-Aortic Stenosis (S.A.S.) as certified by a board certified canine cardiologist
4. Free of any disqualifying features as set out by the Golden Retriever Breed Standard
5. To be of sound golden retriever temperament and a good representative of the Golden Retriever breed
6. To complete a AKC conformation championship, AKC obedience title or AKC field title in the country in which the dog resides
7. Payment is made to the breeder of $200.00 to upgrade to an Agreement of Sale of Show Puppies
8. Payment is made to the breeder for costs levied by the A.K.C. for cancellation of the non-breeding agreement
9. In the case of females, the non-breeding agreement shall not be lifted before two years of age. In the case of males the non-breeding agreement shall not be lifted before eighteen months of age.
10.The purchase shall agree to make themselves knowledgeable of the process of breeding, pregnancy, whelping, and the conscientious raising of pups prior to the non-breeding agreement being lifted.
11.The breeder shall receive pick Golden Retriever puppy from the first OR second litter whelped in the case of females. The breeder shall receive two stud services back on any golden retriever bitch the breeder owns in the case of males.

By signing this Agreement of Sale, the buyer acknowledges having read this Agreement in its entirety and agrees to all terms and conditions within this agreement.
